About Me

 

Hey Everyone! 

My name is Celine Jilani. I was born in Cleveland, OH and lived there for a couple of years until my parents decided that me and my brothers should go back to Jerusalem and learn about our culture, religion and mother language. Over there I went to a German Private School and got the opportunity to learn German, Hebrew, Arabic and English.

 

Furthermore, I also got the chance to discover my hidden talent, which is SINGING! I love singing and I am actually a Soprano, even though most people think that I'm not; because I usually talk quietly! I used to sing classical German Kunstlied ( smaller versions of Opera) and some pop, which I really enjoyed and I had the chance to compete internationally in Music Competitions. 

 My other hidden hobby is drawing and painting.I honestly am obsessed with art and  anything colorful or architectural looking. Going to art museums and art gallerias are my favorite; because they always remind me that every person sees the world in a different perspective and view, which is fascinating. 

 

I have visited a lot of countries such as Great Britain, Italy, Greece, Germany, Poland, Belgium,Czech Republic, Egypt and Jordan. However, Barcelona, Latin America, India, Cape-Town and Chefchauen are still on my bucket list! I hope to visit them one day, Inshallah! 

 

Currently, I am studying Biology at the University of Cincinnati. Once I graduate, I hope to continue my education in Public Health and become a successful and known researcher; because I am passionate about the art of prevention.

I was selected to become a UC Student Ambassador for the 2018-2019 Academic Year. I am so exited to participate in a lot of events, facilitate my own event each semester, and to work with my awesome team members, whom I will be telling more about later on!

I will be sharing with you my experience of being a Student Ambassador at UC and make sure to follow up!
