Week 6
This week was pretty fun; because I had no exams.I was so upset that I had to redo my Lab Experiment four times; because someone in Lab told me to use a solvent that we were not supposed to use and I redid it three times and the last time worked; because I changed the solvent.
On Wednesday after my stressful lab, I had one of the best tours, it really changed my day to the better. I really love giving tours and I was happy that my group had fun and learned a lot with me, they even gave good comments to me at the end and told Kaci, which made me feel happy. I personally miss being a Student Orientation Leader, I feel like I am becoming better and better each time at tours and it just makes me miss doing them.
On Thursday, I had my one on one with Alex, who made me feel a lot better about my hours. I am really tying to be on track and do my best and I hope it works out at the end. After my Organic Chemistry lecture, I went to the English Conversation group and the topic of discussion was about UCBA and how students felt. A lot of students suggested having a dorm at UCBA; just because they feel like it's more like a highschool and want to experience the college life, however we already have dorms at UC Clifton. Also, students were complaining about the student workers at the Bookstore and how inappropriate they act towards students. I was even surprised that some of the faculty have the same opinion, but they willl report this to the Dean to give them a warning. Other than that, I am glad that studetns are feeling happy. They even mentioned that the only thing worth going to UCBA other than classes is having friends and being able to be at ECG,whcih is very thoughtful I think.
On Friday, I had to work the AH Career Center Visit and it was so crowded, also I was the one passing pizza and I have never done it before; but it was very stressful and scary at the beginning; because there were like so many people and even UCBA students wanted pizza and I had to explain that it was only for highschool students, but it was fun. I am glad that I worked the event and had Maddie and Leo help me out with handing out food.
