Week 12
This week I had a very fun time in ECG. We started off with a deep game called stand forward, where the professor would say something and if it applies to you, you would walk towards the front. This game allowed us to know more about the people that are in ECG and allowed to reveal ourselves.
Some people didn't feel good about this game and some felt great and happy. I feel like people were hesitant about some aspects like Religion or Financial Status. However, there were other phrases that made us all step forward, such as "do you feel comfortable at UCBA". I think this is nice to know that all of the students at ECG feels that way and this also reflects positivley on the college itself as well as all the Faculty and Staff that contribute in making it a comfortable place.
One of my friends, who works with me in the Admissions Office, is applying for Student Government at UCBA and that souunds amazing. I think that we are making progress in our college and that there are a lot of students who are interested in making UCBA a better place for students. This was one of our discussions also in some of the Ambassador Meetings and I am glad that there are students out there that are willing to volunteer and help out.
Other than that I had my two welcome desk shifts. I like answering people on the phone, but I feel like there are a lot of insurance companies, that call regarding car insurance or whatever. This Tuesday I had four calls about car insurances and everytime they start talking, I would just say" Ma'am this is a college, do you have any questions regarding UCBA?" and then they would hang up the phone. This is probably the best part about the welcome desk, in my opinion.
Other than that, I decided to buy a guitar to start jamming and making music again; because life is not just about work and studying and being serious. At some point we have to do what makes us happy, when we have time. This will also allow me to relax and clear my mind up a little before finals.
